RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Chelsea is considering a move to sign in-form Palmeiras striker Vitor Roque, according to media reports in Brazil.
But the Premier League side faces competition for the 20-year-old's signature from London rivals Tottenham and West Ham, news outlet Lance reported.
It added that Chelsea had made preliminary enquiries with a view to securing the forward in the January transfer window.
Roque has scored 13 goals in 26 league outings for Palmeiras this year in addition to four goals in eight Copa Libertadores matches for the Sao Paulo club.
He joined Palmeiras in February after disappointing spells with Spanish sides Barcelona and Real Betis. ■
