MOSCOW, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and nine others injured after a bus overturned in western Russia's Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region, local authorities said Wednesday.
Preliminary reports indicated that the driver lost control of the vehicle, which veered off a local highway into a ditch before overturning, the regional government's press service said on Telegram.
There were 16 passengers on board at the time of the accident. The injured have been taken to a hospital for treatment.
An investigation is underway to determine the causes and circumstances of the incident. ■
