Pic story of celadon maker in east China's Zhejiang

Liu Jie (L) talks with a craftsman who came to learn firewood burning at his studio in Dawang Village, Longquan City of east China's Zhejiang Province, April 10, 2019. Liu Jie, born in 1985, is a celadon maker in Longquan of Zhejiang. In 2016, he closed his studio and moved to a mountain with his family in the southern suburb of Longquan, where he built a kiln for Longquan celadon and researched on the traditional making of celadon. Liu follows the traditional way of celadon making of the Song Dynasty (960-1279) and does all the procedures personally. His kiln works four or five times a year, and during each time he has to add firewood for continuous ten plus hours and cool down the kiln naturally for two days. (Xinhua/Weng Xinyang)
