BEIJING, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on Monday called on media to play a good role in participating in and promoting the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Huang, also head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks when meeting with guests who attended the Belt and Road Innovation Forum on 5G+4K Communication in Beijing.
Huang spoke highly of the contributions made by media groups to the Belt and Road construction.
Noting that media play an important role in promoting the high-quality development of the Belt and Road, Huang said media need to grasp the opportunities brought by informatization and smart technology to advance the integration of communication and advanced technology, so as to better record, participate in and promote the BRI.
Some 150 guests from China and other countries and regions along the Belt and Road attended the forum hosted by China Media Group.
