Afghanistan to apply blockchain technology in health sector

Afghanistan would apply blockchain technology for the first time in its health sector as a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the country's Public Health Ministry and the FantomOperations, a block-chain company, a statement said Tuesday. Under the MoU, the blockchain technology would help Afghanistan Ministry of Public Health identify fake medications, create medical records in the hospitals and computerize the patients' files, the ministry said in the statement posted on its official website.
